Funeral Service for Russell Douglas “Rusty” McGaha, 57, of Piedmont will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service. Mr. McGaha passed away Monday, May 13, 2019. Survivors include wife of 26 years, Ruth McGaha; mother, Judith Lyle (Jesse) of Piedmont; father, Douglas McGaha; sister, Rena McGaha; and brother, Tyler McGaha. Pallbearers will be Van Weldon, Joe Germany, Jared Weldon, George Sanchez, Justin Willoughtby, and Sammy Smith. Mr. McGaha had been a resident of Piedmont since 1976 and was a 1980 graduate of Piedmont High School. He was employed at Braxton Harris Plumbing Company in Anniston. Mr. McGaha was preceded in death by his brother, David Lyle; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Evertte Depuy.
