Peggy Keasler

Graveside service for Peggy Keasler, 73, of Spring Garden will be Tuesday, January 05, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Carmel Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Anderson officiating. Mrs. Keasler passed away Friday, January 01, 2021. Survivors include her husband Jerry Keasler of Spring Garden; one son, Alan Floyd of Jacksonville; one step son, Todd Keasler of Jacksonville; sister, Brenda Kirk (Sam) of Spring Garden; five grandchildren, Greg Floyd (Bailey), Katie Floyd, Karlie Floyd (Jawaune Morris), Michael Floyd, and Andrew Floyd; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Keasler was a native and lifelong resident of Spring Garden. She was a graduate of Spring Garden High School and Jacksonville State University, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school for 30 years at Spring Garden School and after retirement she taught for 10 years in Georgia. She was a member of Goshen United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, and playing with her cats. Mrs. Keasler was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Evelyn Formby Anderson; sister, Patsy Simpson; and brother-in-law, Larry Simpson.
