Millie Beth Lee Studdard

March 2, 1942 - August 3, 2021

Millie Beth Lee Studdard, age 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 03, 2021 in Anniston, Alabama. Millie was born March 02, 1942 to Solon and Vera Lee in Randolph County, Alabama. She graduated from Randolph County High School in 1960 and attended Jacksonville State University. She went on to work at several jobs, Southern Union State Community College, First Bank of Wadley, Turner Corp of Roanoke, Alabama, and retired from the Alabama State Highway Department. She was a member of Piedmont First United Methodist Church. Her survivors include two daughters, Selina May Johnson (Barry) and Shanda Powell Adams (Tucker); grandchildren, Kyle Johnson (Alexis), Kaci Johnson Barker (Ryan), Clay Cotney, Allison Cotney, Anna Cotney, Sydni Adams, and Shelby Adams; two great grandchildren, Brayden and Brynlee; and an expected third great granddaughter, Laney Eleanor due this week to Kaci; special friend, Tim Merrill; loving caregiver and friend, Michelle Johnson; Furbaby, Missy; other survivors include close special cousins and a special nephew. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carter Mays; her parents, Solon and Vera Lee; her husband, Dr. A.L. Studdard; and her brother, Spence Lee. The family would like to extend a special thank you to New Beacon Hospice for the love and care given to their mother. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Wadley First Baptist Church at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Wadley Cemetery Fund, PO Box 68, Wadley, AL 36276 or the Corinth North Cemetery Fund, County Road 233, Wedowee, AL 36278. Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Piedmont in charge of arrangements.
