Mary Edd Diffee Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Mary Edd Diffee, 95, of Piedmont will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Black and the Rev. Neale Lanigan officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to services. Mrs. Diffee passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Survivors include one daughter, Martha Ann Burns (Billy) of Spring Garden; one son, Guy E. Diffee Jr. of Cottonwood, California; two grandchildren, Cathy Burns Tex (Roy) and Pamela Burns Bruner (Grant); two great grandchildren, Anna Leigh Bruner and Haley Bruner; and one sister, Evelyn Parker Gallaher of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Jim Decker, Bobby Robertson, Joe Lively, John Dan Sanford, Grant Bruner and Francis "Billy" Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be L T Morgan, William Amberson, Josh Droxler, Roy Tex and Stan Anderson. Mrs. Diffee was a Piedmont resident, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Piedmont and was a longtime employee of the Huddle House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy E.
