Louise Hurst Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral service for Louise Hurst, 78, of Piedmont, will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Don Jackson, Todd Risinger and Nathan Battey officiating. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. Mrs. Hurst passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at RMC Anniston. Survivors include three daughters: Valery Jackson (Don) of West Point, GA, Vicky Risinger (Todd) of West Monroe, LA, and Vonda Hurst of Piedmont; one son: Leonard Lowell “Chip”Hurst, Jr. (Eliza)of Powell, WY; 10 grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, Savannah Risinger Battey, Jordon Jackson, Katie Risinger Holloway, Summer Risinger Hall, Chassidy Hurst Bielli, Tristan Hurst, Ethan Risinger, Cheyenne Hurst, and Alexandra Hurst; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers: James Donaldson and David Donaldson, both of Cedartown, GA. Pallbearers will be Tyler Jackson, Jordon Jackson, Tristan Hurst, Ethan Risinger, Nathan Battey, Matt Holloway, and Brooks Hall. Mrs. Hurst was a longtime resident of Piedmont. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Glencoe, where she made the communion bread for many years. Mrs. Hurst loved her church and the Lord. She was a stay-at-home mom where she loved and nurtured her children until they were grown.She later owned and operated Wee-Kare Day Care for 36 years. She loved the outdoors, enjoyed planting flowers and had a green thumb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Hurst, Sr.; her parents, Andy and Ruby Donaldson; two brothers, Billy and Roy Donaldson.
