Lillian Harbour

June 11, 1925 - January 21, 2022

Service for Lillian Harbour, 96, of Piedmont will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Thankful Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Parker officiating and Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Harbour passed away peacefully, Friday, January 21, 2022 at her home. She was preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Lawler and 11 siblings, her husband, Charles Edward Harbour; son, Lindsey Harbour, son-in-law Danny Houston and grandson, Gary Houston. Survivors include one son, Louis Harbour (Paulette) of Ohio; two daughters, Lavada Burroughs and Kathleen Houston both of Piedmont; daughter-In-Law: Brenda Harbour; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including two nephews that was special to her heart, Jerry Harbour that she lovingly called “Little Jerry” and Henry Lawler. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews. Born on June 11, 1925, Mrs. Harbour was born in Talladega County and moved to Piedmont at the age of nine. She was a longtime member of Thankful Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She retired from Piedmont Executive with over 15 years of service. She had a love for traveling, especially flying. She was known to tell her children and grandchildren to pick her up at the airport and she would always say “I’ve got my money”. She enjoyed fishing, working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers. Mrs. Harbour was loved by all. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care, namely Angela Payne, Randi Green, Mary Mintz for the care they provided. The family would also like to send a special thank you to grandson, Daniel Houston and niece, Terranisha Swain for their unconditional love and care given.
