Funeral service for Kaylie Renee Stephens, 16, of Panama City Beach, Florida will be Monday, May 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Borden Springs Church of Christ with Dean Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Kaylie passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Children’s of Alabama. She is survived by her parents, Joseph Stephens and Amber Gilmore of Panama City Beach, FL; grandparents, Steve Gilmore, Cynthia Wilkins, Cindy Stephens (Buddy), and Michael Stephens; three aunts, Tara Fletcher (P.J.), Jada Stephens, and Paige Haney (Richie); uncle, Robbie Stephens; two cousins, Alixandria and Arabella Fletcher; a furbaby; and many other family members. Pallbearers will be Steve Gilmore, Scott Abel, PJ Fletcher, Jamie Gibbens, Jeff Jernigan and Richie Haney. Kaylie came into this world and made everyone she met a better person. Through her smile, laughter, compassion, intelligence, wit and beautiful wise old soul. She had a huge heart and cared deeply for every living thing. She could not stand to see anyone unhappy or suffering in any way. Her passions in life show how caring and selfless she was. She adored planting seeds and bringing life into this world. She had a passion for helping sick children and came up with ways to make them more comfortable along their journeys. She always wanted to help wildlife and would do so by making sure the animals outside were fed and taken care of. She was always wanting to make sure her family was happy and healthy. She was always concerned about everyone else, even through her own struggles and battles. She had an Amazing sense of humor...She had a way of making us smile and laugh. You couldn't help but to be happy when you were around Kaylie. She would make sure you were okay and do her best to bring a smile upon your face. She loved life to the fullest and always did her best to stay positive and smile through anything life threw at her. She was a one of a kind and anyone that has known her would say they are honored to have known such a Beautiful Soul. She would want us all to be Happy, Smiling, and helping anyway we can.
