June Gwendolyn Kelly Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Services for June G. Kelly, 87, of Piedmont will be today at 3 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Mrs. Kelly passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James Kelly; one daughter, Debbie Lynn (Tim) of Piedmont; two sons, Eddie Kitchens (Brenda) of Montgomery and Jim Kelly (Missy) of Piedmont; seven grandchildren, Debbie Moseley, Scott Kitchens, Angie Teel, April Kelly, T.J. Lynn, Meagan Kelly Kirk and Sentry Kelly; six great-grandchildren, Ava Kelly, Sarah Austin, Emily Teel, Lindsey Russell, Justin Robinson and Jodie Robinson, and one great great grandchild, Silas Russell. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mrs. Kelly was a resident of Piedmont most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing at churches and nursing homes and would often give out cassettes of her songs. She loved her family and was a wonderful cook. Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her former husband, Nick Kitchens; son, Larry Kitchens and her mother, Rossie Reaves. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
