Funeral services for Julia Murray Carroll, age 46, of Piedmont, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Thompson Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Ingram, Mr. Gary McCurdy, and Mr. Stan Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home. Julia passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at RMC Jacksonville. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Piedmont and was employed with Farmers and Merchants Bank for 23 years, serving as an Administrative Officer. Mrs. Carroll is survived by her husband, Mikey Carroll; a daughter, Caitlin Carroll (A.J. Young); parents, Eddie O'Brien Murray, Sr. and Sandra Hinton Murray; sister, Caroline Murray Taylor (Rick); brother, Eddie Murray, Jr.(Gay); mother and father-in-law, Tommy and Betty Carroll; brothers-in-law, Tommy Carroll Jr. (Margie), Bobby Joe Carroll (Randa), and Rodney Carroll; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse Woodruff Hinton and Chick Hinton. Pallbearers will be Chad Latta, Samuel Whorton, Joseph Hunt, Andy Carroll, Cody Carroll, and Jim Kelly.
