Mr. James Ronald Bible

Funeral services for James Ronald Bible, 67, of Piedmont, will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Mr. Gary McCurdy officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Bible passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Verley Bible; two children, Thomas Jaoma Bible (Cynthia) of Piedmont and Beverley Quinton (Charles) of Gadsden; two grandchildren, Bethany Nicole Bible and Anthony William Bible; two sisters, Mary Jo McCurdy of Piedmont and Sybil Darsey (Robert) of Spring Garden; and several nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie White, David White, Colton McCurdy and Matthew McCurdy. Mr. Bible was a native and resident of the Piedmont area most of his life. He was a U.S.Army Vietnam veteran, retired from the Alabama Forestry Commission and loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.J. and Evelyn Bible and by a brother, Thomas William Bible.
