Funeral services for Harold Roy McDonald, III, 58, of Piedmont, will be Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. McDonald passed away April 27, 2012 at his home. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Steward McDonald; one son, John McDonald of Tuscaloosa; two daughters, Brandy Kiker (Craig) of Jacksonville and Heather Ingram of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Braylon McDonald and Anna Kiker; his step-mother, Phyllis McDonald of NY, several sisters and brothers; and his beloved pets. Pallbearers will be Craig Kiker, Chris Hanson, Chad Steed, Jeremy Goss, Steve Johnson, Johnny Bain and Johnathan Williams. Mr. McDonald was a New York native and had been a resident of Piedmont since 1988. He served in the U.S.Army for 12 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont and was a former employee of Springs Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents.
