Cornelia "Connie" Crain White

Cornelia “Connie” Crain White, age 79, of Adairsville, GA went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, November 27, 2020, at Redmond Hospital in Rome, GA. Funeral service will be Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 6:30 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Hibberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening one hour prior to the service. Burial will be Monday, November 30, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at Piedmont Memory Gardens. Connie was born in Gadsden, AL on October 16, 1941, daughter of the late Leon and Grace (Minton) Crain. She lived in Gadsden, Piedmont, Anniston, and Albertville, AL and Adairsville, GA. She also loved to travel in her motor home and has lived all over the United States and Mexico in her motor home with her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Alan Lewis White. She and Alan met in Anniston and were married on September 28, 1985. Connie loved working at Merle Norman in Piedmont and Jacksonville, AL and Rockmart, GA. She was such a wonderful wife, mother, MeMaw, sister and aunt. She loved her family so much. Connie was loving, giving, compassionate, warm, kind, and Christlike. She never met a stranger. She was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church in Adairsville. Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Grace (Minton) Crain, her daughter, Cathy Gunter Hill, and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Hinkley. She is survived by her husband Alan White; sons, David and Shanida Gunter, Huntsville, AL; John and Dana Gunter, Dothan, AL; son-in-law, Darrell Hill, Piedmont, AL; sister, Juanita Hinkley, Rome, GA; mother-in-law, Mildred White; three step-children, Diane White, Amy White and Lane Pair, and Greg and Suzy White; grandchildren, Billy Gunter, Micah and Laura Gunter, Daniel and Elizabeth Gunter, Luke and Karis Gunter, Andrea Valverde, Carlos Valverde; nieces, Cindy Brock, Tammy Wigley, Christy Crump; nephew, James and Pam Hinkley; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Gunter, Micah Gunter, Greg White, Daniel Gunter, Luke Gunter, and Carlos Valverde. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to christianlighthaiti.org.
