Charlie Louis Gamble Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral service for Charlie Louis Gamble, 61, of Piedmont will be Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Thankful Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Mr. Gamble passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Charlie was born December 18, 1960 to Mr. Benjamin J. Hill and the late Mrs. Rachel M. Gamble Diamond. He was preceded in death by his late grandparents, Mr. William Grudger and Mrs. Ada Pearl Gamble. For 33 years he was married to the love of his life, Mrs. Shelia Dianne and under this union two wonderful children were born, Mrs. Ashtavia Brown (Jamie) and Mr. Charlie L. Gamble II (Leigha N. Cook). They also opened their home to an adoptive daughter, Mrs. Megan Asel Mukanova (Jessie McDonald). Charlie also leaves to celebrate his life, two amazing granddaughters, Justice MariAna and Amaria LoAnna Jurnee Brown, who he loved dearly. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Terry “Pokey” Gamble (Elaine) and sister, Carla “Lannie” Diamond along with mother-in-law, Diane Diamond; father-in-law, Samuel W. Ball (Johnnie); brothers and sisters-in-law, Lafreda Walker, Billy Camp, Sandra Brown (Michael), Gloria Camp, Sandra J. Camp, and Samuel Ball II; aunts and uncles, Carrie Anne Donaldson, Walker Gamble (Willa Jo), Henry Gamble, Ruby Green (Walter), Wanda Kay Gamble, Robert L. Ball, Willie Diamond, Clayton Diamond (Magdarlene), Belinda Sue Johnson, Margret Keller (Benjamin), Joe Van Diamond (Wanda), Martina Diamond (Rose), Christella Diamond, and Anthony Diamond. Charlie enjoyed spending time with all his nieces and nephews, Ashley Camp, Whitney Camp, Brandon Brown (Tedra), Terrill Gamble, Trevor Gamble, Timothy Gamble, Jordan Brown, Kiwana Camp, Austin Camp, Jacqueline Johnson (Trenton), Samuel Ball III, Brian Brown, Brianna Brown; and he especially enjoyed his great nieces and nephews, Malachi Camp, Nehemiah Brown, Amari Gamble, Nina Brown, Ni’Kira Nation, Nyla Brown, Donovan Gamble, Kabrina Camp, Jaydence Camp, Malaysia Camp; and a host of other family and friends.
