Mr. Charles Ronnie "Ron" Langley

Graveside services with honors by the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard for Ronnie "Ron" Langley, 64, of Jacksonville will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Highway Church of God Cemetery in Fyffe with the Rev. Don Brown, Chief Deputy Matthew Wade and Deputy Don Hull officiating. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Langley passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Gail Langley; brother, Ed Langley of Piedmont; two god sons, Lee Langley and Bran Lawler both of Piedmont; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams, Bobby Hammonds, Lee Langley, Bran Lawler, Van White, Brad Edmondson and John Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Langley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot and worked as a deputy sheriff for the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department. He was a Vietnam veteran, served as a crewman on a rescue helicopter in the U.S.Navy, was a graduate of Jacksonville State University, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved Alabama football and his family.
