Services for Betty A. Jones, 80, of Jacksonville, will be Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Asberry Baptist Church with the Rev. William Cain officiating and Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Mrs. Jones passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, William L. Jones of Jacksonville; five daughters, Karen Wright (Howard), Terri Holder (Kevin) and Debbie Allen (Jerry), all of Jacksonville, Sandra Cantrell (John) of Florida and Brenda Jones of Huntsville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brett Allen, Shane Allen, Joshua Reynolds, Shilo Pinkard, Jason Pinkard and Greg Wall. Mrs. Jones had been a resident of Jacksonville since 1970 and was a retired civil service worker. She was a member of Asberry Baptist Church and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
