Funeral service for Cheryl Alred Hall, 80, of Anniston will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Ward and Jody Burdette officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Mrs. Hall passed away Friday, June 06, 2025 at Piedmont Heath Care. Survivors include her children, Scott Ward (Amanda) of Anniston, Deborah Parris (Brent) of Spring Garden, Darla Cooper (Brent) of Piedmont and Roger Hall (Tori) of White Plains; ten grandchildren, Andrew Morris (Meagan), Cassie Ward (Justin), Kaleb Morris (Maggie), Hannah Sessions (Brett), Lane Chamblee (Daniel), Taylor Cooper (Erynn), Rachel Molock (Jacob), Shelley Jeffers (Ray), Zach Hall and Jesse Hall (Kendall); 15 great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Parker (Brent) and Jan Barrett (Mickael), all of Piedmont; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Andrew Morris, Kaleb Morris, and Taylor Cooper, Grant Ward, Jesse Hall, and Zach Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the Calhoun County Soil and Water Conservation District. Mrs. Hall was a native of Georgia and a long-time resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of the Jacksonville Church of Christ and loved her church and church family. She retired from the Calhoun County Soil and Water Conservation District. She and her late husband, Alton, loved to travel all around the states and to different countries. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed family gatherings at her house. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, which included shopping and playing cards. They were lovingly known as the “Golden Girls”. Most precious to her was her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Hall; parents, J B and Grace Alred; son, Ronald Hall and granddaughter, Amber Thiede. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama, 4 Office Park Circle #109, Birmingham, AL 35223, or to the American Red Cross, Mid-Alabama Chapter, (Regional Headquarters), 114 22nd Street, Birmingham, AL 35223.
